The Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Pulmonary Rehabilitation Technical Instructor (Bank) to support our education services across South and Southeast Staffordshire. You will work in community settings and virtually to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation interventions to patients with respiratory conditions—including those recovering from post-COVID syndrome—under the guidance of registered practitioners.

Your role will include:

  • Leading and supporting group exercise and education sessions
  • Assisting in patient assessments and monitoring clinical outcomes
  • Encouraging self-management and lifestyle change through motivational support
  • Managing admin tasks, scheduling, and data capture for national audits
  • Being a key point of contact for patients and team communication

The Candidate

We’re looking for a compassionate and proactive individual with experience in health or social care, ideally within a rehabilitation or respiratory setting. You’ll be confident leading group sessions both face-to-face and virtually and have the communication skills to support and motivate patients in managing their conditions. With a flexible and patient-centred approach, you’ll work effectively under indirect supervision, following agreed protocols while using your initiative where appropriate. You’ll need to be IT literate, organised, and comfortable managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities. A full UK driving licence with access to transport are essential, as the role involves community-based work across South and Southeast Staffordshire.
