From sharing real-world experiences and best practice in the UK to learning from international approaches, we’re creating opportunities to connect, collaborate and explore new ideas.
What started as a knowledge exchange visit to South Korea has grown into something much bigger – a community built around open conversations, shared learning and lasting connections.
And we’re only just getting started.
Our Exchange journey so far
The UK Best Practice Lunch
Our first gathering brought together healthcare professionals from across UK diabetes care to share experiences, discuss challenges and explore what’s working well.
The conversations helped shape the questions we took with us to South Korea, ensuring the Exchange reflects the real priorities of those delivering diabetes care.
UK Best Practice Showcase
Our Diabetes Exchange Excellence Booklet brings together inspiring examples of innovation, improvement and best practice from healthcare professionals across the UK.
We took this to South Korea to share with international colleagues, helping great ideas travel beyond the organisations and communities where they began.
Taking the Exchange international
In partnership with i-SENS, a group of UK healthcare professionals visited South Korea to explore diabetes care, technology and innovation.
The programme included a visit to i-SENS’ CGM manufacturing facilities and a Diabetes Knowledge Exchange with Korean clinicians.
Together, we compared approaches to care, patient education, treatment and technology, learning from one another’s experiences.
Bringing the learning back
The Diabetes Exchange doesn’t end there!
We’ll share insights, experiences and practical learning with the wider community, continuing the conversations started in London and Seoul.
Our ambition is to create an ongoing platform where healthcare professionals can exchange ideas, share successes and challenges, and build connections that help improve diabetes care.
