Accessibility Statement for CareSens Air (UK Distribution by Spirit)
This accessibility statement applies to the CareSens Air system supplied in the United Kingdom by Spirit Health Group (“Spirit”).
Commitment to accessibility
Spirit is committed to ensuring that the CareSens Air system is as accessible as possible for all users, including people with:
- visual impairments
- motor difficulties
- cognitive impairments
- hearing impairments
As the UK distributor, we work with the legal manufacturer to support alignment with the requirements of the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) Accessibility Regulations 2018 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, where applicable.
Our role as distributor
Spirit distributes the CareSens Air system in the UK but is not the legal manufacturer. This means:
- the design and development of the product, including digital accessibility features, are controlled by the manufacturer
- we work closely with the manufacturer to communicate accessibility requirements and user feedback
- we ensure that information we provide (such as training materials, customer support, and UK-facing content) is accessible wherever reasonably practicable
How accessible this product is
The CareSens Air system includes features intended to support accessibility, such as:
- clear and simple user interface design
- high-contrast display on the device
- straightforward workflows for core tasks
- compatibility with mobile device accessibility settings (where applicable)
However, some aspects of the product may not be fully accessible.
Non-accessible content
Based on current information, some limitations may include:
- partial compatibility with screen readers in associated mobile applications
- limited text alternatives for visual data (such as graphs or charts)
- small display size on the physical device
- some supporting documents that may not fully meet accessibility standards
Spirit is working with the manufacturer to support continuous improvement in these areas.
