It’s been a significant year across the Spirit Health family – one shaped by collaboration, practical innovation and a focus on improving access to care. As we continue connecting teams, communities and care, our work has expanded diabetes education, launched new digital services and strengthened global partnerships. Together, we’re delivering meaningful change for patients and the professionals who support them
Expanding Maternal Health Support in Nigeria
Clinitouch has launched its first project in Nigeria, helping strengthen maternal health services in Cross River State.
Working with Utopian Health Services, the Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency (CRSPHCDA), and supported by funding from Stanbic IBTC Bank, the project uses remote patient monitoring to support expectant and new mothers with consistent, accessible care and early intervention.
This pilot represents an important step toward improving maternal outcomes and giving women greater confidence and control over their health.

Reaching More People with Diabetes Education
Our EMPOWER team continues to grow its reach, securing a new contract to deliver 1,500 additional diabetes education places across Kent and Medway.
Since February, the team has delivered over 40 courses, supporting more than 400 people to better understand their condition and manage it with greater confidence. It’s a clear example of how structured education, delivered well, can make day-to-day life with diabetes easier.

Launching the Spirit CGM Support Service
This year also saw the launch of the Spirit CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitoring) Support Service – a collaboration across the Spirit Family between Medicines Optimisation, Pharmacy, EMPOWER and Clinitouch, and another example of how we’re connecting teams, communities and care.
The service provides CareSens Air CGM users with personalised guidance, education and remote monitoring, helping both patients and clinicians make the most of real-time glucose data.
Alongside this, the new CareSens Air MDS offer is helping practices prescribe CGM more affordably and sustainably, widening access for people who can benefit most from continuous monitoring

Climbing Ben Nevis for the Spirit Health Foundation
A team from across Spirit Health took on Ben Nevis in some truly demanding weather conditions to raise funds for the Spirit Health Foundation.
Every step helped support the Foundation’s work to deliver essential health screenings for mothers and children in underserved communities across Sub-Saharan Africa. It was a powerful reflection of the commitment and teamwork that sits at the heart of our organisation.

Across local services, digital innovation and international programs, the theme of this year has been consistent: practical solutions that make care more accessible and more effective.
We’re proud of what our teams and partners have achieved – and we’re looking forward to building on this momentum in the year ahead.
